Yvonne Costelloe

Yvonne Louise Costelloe (née O’Shaughnessy) (Erie, Pennsylvania and formerly of Shinrone, Co. Offaly, Ireland). Born on August 27, 1953, she left this life peacefully on March 14, 2017 in the loving care of family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard O’Shaughnessy, and her beloved husband, Thomas Martin Costelloe. She will be sadly missed by her loving mother, Eva ‘Yvonne’ O’Shaughnessy; sisters Ann O’Shaughnessy and Deirdre Duggan, all in Ireland; her children, Richard (Catherine), Thomas (Kari), Brian, and Yvonne; granddaughters, Nyllah and Harper; and most loving partner and friend, Ray Welch.

Yvonne was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and partner who greatly enjoyed gardening, art, travel, and, most of all, spending time with friends and family. Alumni of Kevin Street, Dublin and Mercyhurst University (summa cum laude) and retired from a career with Erie County Government.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy, Harborcreek.

Friends may call at Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd., Sunday March 19th from 1-3pm and 6-8pm, and are invited to a service there on Monday March 20th at 11am. Interment will be at Clonmellon, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.
