Willie Robinson

Willie Junior Robinson, age 63, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in York, Alabama on August 20, 1951, a son of the late Junior and Carrie Mae Stanton Robinson.

Willie was a 1971 graduate of Academy High School.

He worked as a school bus driver for the Erie School District for 15 years and the same position at GECAC for over 30 years. Willie enjoyed horseracing and enjoyed driving the school kids on his bus and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Willie is survived by two sons, William (Diana) and Jamal (Valonia) Robinson; two daughters, Zanetra (Pete, Jr.) Hamilton and Kateaka (William) McCullum, a brother, Robert (Virginia) Robinson and two sisters, Barbara Younglou and Linda (Fredrick) McLaurin. 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, on Saturday from 4 until the time of service there at 8 p.m. with the Elder Danny Stanton officiating.
