Willie Cooley

Willie Earl “Bob” Cooley age 70 of Erie, Pa. died quietly at home on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

He was born in Laurel, MS on October 20, 1945 a son of the late Dan and Ruth Anna Cooley Carpenter.

Bob worked for many years in manufacturing as a foundry worker at Keystone Brass. In later years he has enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents; Wilma and Velma Cooley along with a sister, Ertha Carpenter.

In addition to his wife Claudette Tangle Cooley, he is survived by two sons; Maurice and Duane Cooley both of Erie. He also leaves 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister, Glenda Gilliam and her husband Terry of Laurel MS and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, and his aunt Marjorie Porter of Laurel, MS.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502 on Thursday, from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm and are invited to services there on Friday at 11:00 am with the Reverend Ryan Gaines officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
