Willie Allen Iii

Mr. Willie M. Allen III, age 76, of Erie, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Nightingale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 22, 1945 to the late Willie and Mattie Allen. Willie was a 30+ year veteran of the Army and National Guard, he attended Gannon College and University of New Orleans. He was a self-taught visual artist; with specialization in painting, a certified welder, and CDL truck driver. He was uniquely one of a kind and never minced words; he will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his lovely wife Mary N. Allen, and his siblings.

He is survived by his children; Lamont E. Allen, Tyneshia P. Allen, Rasheed K. Allen, Syreeta M. Allen, Jamel P. Allen and Jeremy D. Allen. In addition to 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

His legacy will live on with all who survived him; and his memory will be forever in our hearts.
