William (Bill) Simmons, 73, of Erie, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 with loved ones by his side.
Bill lived a simple life and cared deeply for his family and his dog Spencer. He had a love for all music especially Rock and Roll, and was an aspiring musician. Bill painted almost every day and had a true passion for art. He appreciated that his children and grandchildren shared his love for the same.
Bill was a great story teller and always kept everyone captivated with his witty style. All who were in his presence left with a smile on their face.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jacqueline Brosche Simmons; a son, Andrew (Brea) Simmons of Erie; a daughter, RJ Simmons of Erie; and his beloved grandchildren, Abby, CeCe and Lydia; an uncle whom he loved like a brother, Bill Shorts of Wattsburg, PA and Mimi, a woman whom he helped care for, for 17 years.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors who helped him fight his battle at both St. Vincent Hospital and Saint Vincent Cancer Center.
