William Ramey

February 21, 1939 — January 24, 2019

William R. Ramey age 79, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Brookville, Pa on February 21, 1939 a son of the late Earl and Alta Calderwood Ramey.

Bill graduated from Harborcreek High School and then went on to serve in the United States Army. 

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and watching sporting events.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Ramey.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Winifred Ramey with whom he lovingly celebrated 59 years of marriage; two sons, William (Esther) Ramey and Mark (Julie) Ramey; a daughter, Deborah Harris; five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 12:00 p.m at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church 2801 W. 6th Street, Erie, PA 16505. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
