William Merski

William F. Merski, age 81, of Erie, passed away on Thursday May 6, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on June 21, 1939 in Erie, a son of the late Joseph H. and Marie Conley Merski.

Bill retired from Verizon after many years working as a special equipment installer.

He loved go to the YMCA and fundraising and campaigning for the Democratic party.  He attended mass regularly at Our Lady of Peace.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and James Merski.

Bill is survived by four children, Robin Hites of Girard, Brenda Merski of Erie, Dennis Merski (Cheryl) of TN and Jennifer Conti (Patrick) of VA; seven grandchildren, Jared Hites, Girard, Hannah Merski, Erie, Lucas Conti, NC, Dominique Conti, TN, Alexandria Conti, TX, Sarah Grace Merski, TN and Isabelle Merski, TN.  He is further survived by his siblings, David Merski (Susan), Mary Ann Ekelund, Judy Hain (James), Kathy Merski (Ron), all of Erie, Sherry Webster (Mark), MN and sister in law, Nettie Merski and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Burton Funeral Home, Girard.
