William Mcshane

William F. “Mac” McShane Jr. age 66, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.

He was born in Youngstown, OH on July 12, 1948 a son of the late William F. Sr. and Nancy McCarthy McShane.

Mac graduated from Strong Vincent High School and then went on to serve in the United States Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War.

He worked as a lift truck mechanic for MH Equipment for over 42 years.

He enjoyed Harley Motorcycles and golfing.

Mac is survived by his wife Bonnie Pusa McShane whom he was with for over 34 years; four daughters, Lt. Col. Kate (Patrick) Coleman McShane of TX, Carrie Baker of FL, Deneane (Martin) Gehrlein of Hanover, PA, Debbra Morgan of MO, four grandchildren, Corie Cheetham, Cord Bartlett, Jesse (Kristen) Gehrlein and Chad (Emily) Gehrlein; a brother, James ( Christine) McShane three sisters, Mary Margaret (James) Hammill, Maureen (Scott) Canfield and Mary Patricia (James) Gombita, and a good friend, Bill W. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Kriegel officiating. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
