William A. Huff, 77, of Erie, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Elmwood Gardens. Formerly of Young Road and Dufford Terrace.
He was born on February 13, 1939, in Erie, son of the late William E. and Vivian Mae Hathaway Huff.
A 1957 graduate of Academy High School, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army and worked in the Traffic Department of Lord Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 2000. Bill was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Siebenbuerger and Zukor Clubs, American Legion Post No. 11, and a life member of the Glenwood YMCA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Stafford in 2009
Survivors include two brothers, Ronald E. Huff and wife Mary of North East and John W. Huff and wife Barbara of Erie; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday 3 to 7 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street. A service will be held there Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Erik Young, of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 2216 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16502.
