William Hoffman

William G. Hoffman, age 88, of Lake City, Pennsylvania, formerly of New York, passed away at UPMC Hamot on Thursday, October 10, 2013. William was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 25, 1925. Son of the late William and Elizabeth Hoffman.

William served in the U.S Marines during W.W. II. He graduated from the University of Virginia and worked as an insurance adjuster for 40 years. William loved hunting, target shooting, yachting and sailing. He retained memberships to the American Legion, ELKS, N.R.A and the Alden Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Norma in 2012 and a granddaughter Shawnna Gaunt. He is survived by his four children, D. Brian Hoffman, Keith A. Hoffman, Debra Hoffman-Gaunt and Robert D. Hoffman; Seven grandchildren, Shannon F. Gaunt, Oscar T. Gaunt, Victoria L. Hoffman, Sara Scapillato, Rick Hoffman and Triston Hoffman and numerous great grandchildren.
