William L. Galleur age 70, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Erie on January 17, 1947 a son of the late Harvey and Minnie Leola Dinges Galleur.
William graduated from Strong Vincent High School. He went on to work at Lord Corp for over 42 years.
He was a member and current President of the Cascade Club.
William was a talented artist who also wrote poetry. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends and riding his Harley motorcycle. He was a wonderful loving father and especially loved spending time with his granddaughter Madison.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey F. Galleur and a brother in law, Rand Garrity.
He is survived by two children, Andrea Galleur-Waldo and her husband Shawn and Christian M. Galleur and his girlfriend Michelle all of Erie; a granddaughter and the light of his life Madison Galleur; a brother, David H. Galleur and his wife Shirley Palmer of Erie,; two sisters, Barbara L. Whitford and her husband James and Suzanne Garrity all of Erie; a sister in law, Patty Galleur of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his beloved dog Tonka.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Charled McClung officiating.
