William Furry

William B. Furry, age 77, of Albion, died on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.  He was born in Shreve, OH on August 26, 1940, a son of Frank and Pauline Osborne Furry.

Bill attended Guys Mills High School (now Maplewood High School).  From a young age, he worked at the Furry family dairy farm.   He taught his kids the principles of hard work as well.  He was an honest man who spoke the truth, whether you wanted to hear it or not.   He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Boston Celtics.  Most of all, he loved his grandkids and great grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a 6 month old daughter, Kathleen; his brothers: Tim, Jim and Gerry and his sisters Judy Shellenberger, Janet Copeland, and Cleo Furry.

Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Johnson Furry; his children: William Jr. (Becky), Jeff, Doug, Steven (companion Kim), David (Melinda), Dale (Sandy), and Pauline (Mike) Caraballo; his grandchildren: Kevin, Alissa, William III, Tyler, Jared, Joshua, Katlyn, Blake, Eric, Cody, John, Andrew, Jessica, Amanda, Samantha, Amara, and Siara; and sixteen great grandchildren.  He is further survived by his sisters Kathleen Burkley, Christine McCallan, and Sandy Baker.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Sunday Feb. 11^th from 12pm until the time of sharing at 1pm at Burton Funeral Home Girard, 525 Main St. East.
