Wellington "Bill" Abbey, Jr.

Wellington (Bill) Abbey, Jr., age 83 of Erie, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

He was born in Dunkirk, NY on March 5, 1940 the son of the late Wellington, Sr. and Ethel Mae Short Abbey.

He was employed at various Foundries in the area including Keystone Brass, Erie Malleable Iron and Dunkirk Radiator for several years. He also worked at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Dunkirk, NY for 5 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois A Nottingham; two sons, Wellington Abbey, III and Brian A. Abbey and a granddaughter, Karen Abbey.

He is survived by a son Joshua Tresler (Heidi); two daughters, Pamela Jean Davis (Rickey) of Jamestown, NY and Zina Beth Abbey of Jamestown, NY. He is further survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie Pa 16506.

Burial will be in Webster Street Cemetery in Fredonia, NY at a later date.
