Wanda Jean Ray

Wanda Jean Godfrey Ray, age 98, of Erie, went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2023.

She was born in Erie, PA on November 16, 1924 the daughter of the late William & Mildred Drury Godfrey.

Wanda was employed at Glowtex Lighting for 17 years as an Inspector.

She enjoyed Western music, dancing and taking walks.  She was a member of New Life Community Church in Fairview, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence A. Ray; a sister Betty Dias; a brother Jack Godfrey; a son Sonty J. Finchio Jr; a daughter Louise R. Guie, and two granddaughters Pam Finchio & Rebecca Guie and a grandson Frank S. Laurento.

Wanda is survived by her four daughters Sylvia Nicholes of Erie, PA; Gloria Ellis of Erie, PA; Charlotte Finchio of Cambridge Springs, PA; Deborah Laurento of Coatesville, PA; one son Thomas Finchio of Jefferson, OH; she is further survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her stepchildren Kenneth Ray and wife Charlene of Erie, PA; Trina Hinkson and husband Mark of Marietta, GA; Kate Tiller of North Carolina.

Friends may call on the family at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie Pa 16506 on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 2:00 pm until service at 4:00 pm.  Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Drury Cemetery in Girard at 1:00 pm.
