Walter Shesterenko

     Walter Shesterenko, 75, died Sun., Aug. 11, 2013 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.  He was born Dec. 7, 1937 son of the late Michael and Marfa Sarokena Shesterenko.  He immigrated to the United States with his family in May 1949.  Walter worked for the City of Erie at the Waste Water Treatment Plant retiring in 2002 after 25 years.
     Survivors include a brother, Robert Shesterenko of Erie; two sisters, Mary Polonenko of Canada and Nina Rasanow of Strongsville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
     The family will receive friends at Erie Cemetery, Section 14, Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.  Michael Kuvshinikov, Spiritual Director and Bereavement Coordinator of Regional Home Health and Hospice, will officiate.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St.
