Walter Kreiter

Walter F. Kreiter, Sr., age 97, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Vernon Township, on November 6, 1918 a son of the late John and Hazel Wood Kreiter.

Walt enlisted in the U.S Army and served during WW II. He and his family moved to Florida where he worked at Pratt Whitney Aircraft until his retirement.

He faithfully read his Bible every day. He loved food and enjoyed hunting and golfing in his younger days.

Walt was very much loved and will be deeply missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Mushrush Kreiter in 2012; four brothers and one sister.

Walter is survived by his son, Walter F. Kreiter, Jr.(Julie), of Fairview; two grandsons, Walter Johnson and William Johnson, both of Dothan, AL; two great grandsons, Garett and Garin; as well as many great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard, on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11am. With Rev. Richard Page officiating.
