Walter Gray

Walter Gray, age 74, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.

He was born in Cape Charles, VA on July 11, 1947 a son of the late Robert and Anna Mae Henderson Gray.

He loved his family and sports and especially fishing.

He worked as a carpenter out of the Erie Carpenter’s Union #81 all of his life.

He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Ollie, two sisters, Francis and Anna Mae Gray and three brothers, Willie, Robert and Henry Gray.

He is survived by five daughters, Taquanta Gray, of Erie, Latasha Gray of Highland Park, Michigan, Doretha Gray of Erie, Alexis Boykin, of Erie, and Christa Jaycox also of Erie, and two sons, Ricky Ollie of Highland Park and Walter Ollie of Erie, 26 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 2 pm until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Anthony Hill officiating.

Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
