Virginia Delo

Virginia R. Delo, age 87, of Erie, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Elmwood Gardens Retirement Community.  She was born in Erie, September 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Earl S. and Katherine F. Mudge Delo.

She received educational services in the Erie and State College areas.  She was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church where she served on the altar guild and usher groups.

Virginia worked with children at the YMCA through foster grandparent programs. She also worked at the Lutheran Home until her retirement in 1996.  She is preceded in death by a sister, Marian F. Caughlin and a brother, Raymond G. Delo, two nephews, Gerald (Jerry) L. Delo and Michael James Delo, and a sister-in-law Jean (Barnes) Delo.

She is survived by a brother, Donald E. Delo and his wife Carol of Erie; a sister, Helen Nichols and her husband John of Lower Burrell, PA.  Further survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10^th Street, Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 606 East 38^th Street, Erie, PA 16504.
