Virginia Bulko, age 84 of Erie, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Homestead, PA on September 6, 1933, a daughter of the late Ralph and Cora Cavanaugh Dillon.
Virginia graduated from Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh.
She was a Teacher’s Aide in the Erie School District for many years.
Virginia’s husband John was in the U.S. Navy, and they enjoyed living in Scotland during some of his years in the service, a country which she truly loved.
She was an avid bridge player, and was a member of several card clubs where she had many friends.
Virginia was a member of the Erie Bridge Club, and the American Bridge Association, and enjoyed going to movies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband John J. Bulko in 2004, a son John M. Bulko in 2013, and her sister Viola Miller.
Survivors include her daughter Kim Hollinger (Henry) of Erie, two sons, James P. Bulko (Dana) of Virginia Beach, and Jeffery D. Bulko of Erie; four grandchildren, Rachel Ferretti, Henry Hollinger, Jr., Amy Bulko, Rebecca Rider; two great grandchildren, Conor and Gavin Ferretti, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Thursday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., and are invited to the funeral service there on Friday at 10 a.m.
