Virginia Stanbro Wesley Adamus, age 91, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie, on October 30, 1926, a daughter of the late LeRoy W. and Zella Winslow Stanbro.
Virginia owned Adamus Holiday Boutique that sold anything to make holidays special including magic tricks and costume rentals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Wesley, her second husband, John Adamus; two sons, Chester and Jeffrey Wesley; a daughter, Dianna Blair; and two brothers, Larry and David Stanbro.
She is survived by a son: Joseph Wesley and his wife Darlene of Erie; three step-daughters: Carolyn Schuler and her husband Rodney of Findley Lake, NY, Cheryl Mook and her husband Richard of Harborcreek, and Karen Butler, also of Harborcreek; a daughter in law, Jang Wesley; two brothers: Leroy and Dennis Stanbro, both of Erie; two sisters: Linda Brown of Sparta, NC and Lucille Harrison of Erie; 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Lisa and Diedra Wesley, Karen Doll and her husband Steve, Aryn Schroeder, Joseph Wesley, Demathy and Kelli Wesley, Julia Coffin and her husband Bruce, and Kurt Williams and his wife Beth and several great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) Erie, PA 16506, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10:00a.m. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
