Violet Neal

Violet C. Hill Neal, age 76 of Erie, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

She was born in Punxsutawney, PA March 22, 1941, a daughter of the late John Carson Hill and Ethel May Lewis Hill.

Violet graduated from Harborcreek High School, and was a molding division supervisor at Plastek retiring in 2001.

Violet enjoyed much in life including fishing, 1,000 piece puzzles, Face 10, solving Sudoku puzzles, reading V.C. Andrews books and watching The Chase, The Amazing Race, Naked and Afraid, and Survivor.  Most of all she loved and adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the rock of the family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Neal in 2000, daughter Noreen Neal Hoopsick, great granddaughter Jasmine Denning, two sisters: Audrey Love and Geraldine McCormick, five brothers: Junior Hill, Raymond Hill, Gerald Hill, Alec Hill and Charles Hill.

Survivors include her daughter Dawn Denning, grandchildren Jeffrey Denning (Natosha), William Denning, Jr. (Amanda), Brad Denning (Ashley), Steven Ebisch, Robert Pasquarello, Jamie Skinner (Bruce), and Daniel Hoopsick; great grandchildren: Taylor, Kaylee, Mariah, Jeffrey, Jr., Ariel, William, III, Brayden,  and Brooke Denning, Mickyla Carson Smith, Alexandrya Pasquarello, TaLeah Neal, Tyara Mealy, Austin Hoopsick, and Halie Carpin; four sisters, Mary Campagnola (Joseph), Lillian Woods, Charlotte Lane, Jemima Spears, and brother Philip Hill (Sheri) further survive Violet. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10^th Street, Erie on Monday, March 19^th from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
