Vincent D. Biggie, age 64, of Erie, passed away on Thursday March 16, 2023 at Village Square. He was born in Erie on January 21, 1959, the youngest child of the late Lawrence F. and Lillian Klimek Biggie.
Vincent left high school to join the Army. Upon his discharge, he worked as a computer programmer for various companies. He was a whiz at the computer and became a freelance game designer until his disability. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 773. He held a solo pilot’s license for many years. He was a space and science fan, especially Star Trek and enjoyed listening to talk radio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law: Thomas Gresh and William Pelinsky and a nephew Carl Biggie Jr.
Vincent is survived by two sisters: Joyce Gresh of Girard and Marie Pelinsky of Erie; two brothers: Lawrence (Becki) Biggie of Hampton SC and Carl (Joyce) Biggie of Erie; a half sister Marian Hartley of OR; and special nieces and nephews who helped in his care: Doug Pelinsky, Dorene Gates, Kelly and Tom Klimkowicz, and Greg and Sheilah Klimkowicz. He is further survived by many more nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
