Vernice Slow

Vernice Francis Slow, age 90 of Erie, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at her Comfort Care Home.

She was born in Dekalb, MS on August 21, 1926, a daughter of the Jake and Sydney Brown Rush.

Vernice was a faithful Christian member of Saint James AME Church and will be sadly missed by those who cared for her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Slow; and two sisters, Rozene Adams and Lorraine Rush.

Family and friends are invited to call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W. 10th St., Erie, on Thursday, March 16th at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service there at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery.
