Vena Bailey

Vena L. Bailey, of Erie, died on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services. She was born in Erie on March 19, 1937, a daughter of Ward and Gladys Watson.

Vena worked for Janitor Jim for 21 years. She often cleaned at the Court House and made many friends there. She loved to watch wrestling specially John Cena, Hulk Hogan, and Super Star Edge. She liked to dance at the club. Baking cinnamon rolls and pies were her specialty. But most of all she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

Vena was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Drake and her siblings: Ann Arlene Thompson, Ann Arveta Breitweiser, Robert Watson, Homer Watson, Leah Carroll, and Budd Morse.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Bailey; her children: Eugene Drake, Raymond Bailey Jr (Susan), Lorraine Bailey and Tracey (Scott McMahon) Bailey. She is further survived by her grandchildren RJ, Rosie, Andrea, Dillon, Bret, Anthony, Leah and Arianna Bailey; her brother Clyde Watson and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Friday August 22 from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2pm at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie Pa., 16502.
