Tyler Alexander Toale, 28, of Erie, sadly lost his battle with addiction on August 15th, 2017. Born in Erie on June 8th, 1989, Tyler is the son of Sandy (Geis) Toale (Clearwater, FL) & Thomas Toale (Barbara Gingenbach, son Joe Armour; Surprise, AZ).
After graduating from Cathedral Prep in 2007, Tyler studied briefly at Gannon University before deciding to join his family's small business. A lover of Erie and animals, he loved the outdoors, Presque Isle, and spending quality time with friends & family. Tyler will be remembered for his loyalty to those closest to him and for his love of learning and animals.
In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by a great-aunt, Mary McCarthy (Erie), a brother, Timothy (Katy; Houston), a sister, Ashley (Daniel; Pittsburgh), 5 uncles (Owen, Kevin, Chris, Rick, & Bobby), 4 aunts (Teresa, Mary, Kathleen, & Candy), many cousins, a nephew, extended family, lifelong friends, and his 2 loyal cats, Jules & Honey.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Owen & Theresa Toale, his maternal grandparents Bob & Katie Geis, and 2 uncles (Patrick & Michael Toale).
Friends may call on Sunday at Burton Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th St., Erie, PA from 1-4 PM & 6-8 PM and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 130 East 4th St., Erie, PA at 10:00 AM on Monday. Burial will be private.
