Tyler R. Culp, age 25, of Erie passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2017 at UPMC Hamot. He was born November 28, 1991 in Erie the son of Robert Culp and Tracy Wojcik and her husband Joseph.
Tyler was a graduate of McDowell High School class of 2010 and attended West Virginia University. He recently had the joy of becoming a father and was so proud of his six month old son, Jackson. Tyler excelled in his career as a salesman, making a lasting impression on his customers. He was a huge sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed playing basketball for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, playing roulette and video games with his friends and spending time with his family. He was an incredible son, brother and uncle. Ty had an especially close relationship with his mother. He was a very charismatic and had a huge heart and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents and son, he is survived by the mother of his son, Alexis Oakes; a brother, Daniel McNally; a sister, Kara Waterhouse and her husband Luke and their son Kaden; grandparents, Maurita Costa Mead, Ellen Reed, Robert and Cynthia Salchak and great-grandmother, Genevieve Costa. He is further survived by an uncle, Chris Salchak (Elie) and aunts, Tamara Salchak and Rina Irwin (Joe), all of Erie.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Erie Youth Road Crew, 523 Jason Rd.,Erie, PA 16506.
