Trudy Rushin

Trudy L. Rushin age 64, of Erie, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Brookside Homes in Erie.

She was born in Carbondale, PA on October 18, 1949 a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Gladys Reese Norton.

Trudy was a graduate of Irvington High School in NJ, and Overlook Hospital School of Nursing in Setonhall, NJ.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and as a respiratory therapist for 43 years in Erie. In more recent years, she enjoyed private duty nursing care, working with home care agencies.

She loved decorating and arranging flowers, and collecting beach glass.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Joseph W. Norton.

She is survived by a brother David I. Norton and his wife Judy of Sacramento, CA and several very good friends and caregivers. Special thanks to her dear friends Bill and Laurie.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th St. Erie on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of Service there at 2:00 pm.
