Timothy D. Nagle age 73, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at UPMC Hamot after a 2 year long hard and courageous battle for his life following a massive stroke. He was born in Erie on October 10, 1948, a son of the late Joseph and Marian Schellang Nagle.
Tim graduated from McDowell High School in 1966 and went on to work as an Electronics Assembler for American Meter and General Electric. He was a well-known special interest car appraiser and was the proprietor of the Nagle’s Motorsports and Hobby automotive gift shop. After retirement, he enjoyed driving cars for the Greater Erie Auto Auction of Fairview.
Tim was a loving and perfect husband, father, and Papa to his family. He enjoyed hunting, camping, building hot rods, and drag racing. He was a social butterfly who loved talking to friends at car shows, where he was especially proud of his gold 1940 Chevy Gasser, which he had built with his son, Pete. His sense of humor stayed with him through it all and his beautiful laughter rang out above the crowd.
Tim served as President of the Crusin' Rods N Kustoms car club for 10 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Nagle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Perkowski Nagle; two children, Peter Nagle and his wife Marcie, and Julie Ketschke and her husband Rhett; four grandchildren, Luke and Dylan Nagle and Stella and Cora Ketschke; two brothers, Bill Nagle and Jim “Terry” Nagle and his wife Kim and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, caregivers and therapists of Hamot Hospital, Encompass Rehab Hospital, UPMC Home Healthcare and Niagara Therapy for enriching Tim's life. And a special thank you to All God's Children Ministeries, Ramps of Hope for providing a beautiful ramp for Tim.
