Thomas C. Woodley Sr., age 81, of Millcreek, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
He was born May 24, 1936 in Bradford PA, son of the late Claude and Onalee Baxter Woodley.
Thomas Graduated from Bradford High School and then went on to attend Diesel Mechanic Schools.
He worked for Poplar White Trucks for many years and then went on to Fleet Sales where he worked for over 20 years.
He was a long time member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, and working on anything mechanical.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers James and Gilbert Woodley; and daughter Cindi L. Way and daughter in law Amy Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Joyce M. Hilbert Woodley, two daughters, Joyce O. McLaughlin of Edinboro, Millie A. Etter and her friend Todd of CA, two sons, Thomas C. Woodley Jr. and his wife Margie of MI, and Bryan J. Woodley and his wife Sandi of Lake city; five step-children, Chris A. Hunt of Waterford, Daniel A. Hunt, Darryl J. Hunt, Scott E. Hunt and his wife Lynn all of Erie, and Ginger Lee Hall and her husband Michael of Millcreek; two brothers John “Jack” Woodley of Bradford and Claude Woodley of NC; son in law, Fred Bendure of Fairview; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W 26th Street, (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service at Asbury United Methodist Church 4703 W. Ridge Road, Erie, PA 16506 on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Davis officiating. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
