Thomas Wallace

Thomas B. Wallace, age 77, of Erie, passed away on Thursday October 15, 2015 at his home. He was born on February 7, 1938 in Erie, son of the late Michael and Sarah Gubla Zawistoski.

Thomas graduated from St. Casmir Grade School and East High School. He worked as a customer service representative with First National Bank, USAir, and Erie Aviation. He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church where he served as Head Usher and on the Board of Trustees. At Lakewood he also participated in the U.M. Men’s group, Prayer Vigils and Bethel Bible Courses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Matthew, Robert, and Bernard Wallace and Joseph Zawistoski and a sister Marian Overocker.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Kriegel Wallace; his sons David Andrew (Barbara) Wallace and Marc Thomas Wallace and his granddaughter Heather (Donny) Hadberg. He is further survived by his sister Valerie Wallace, a brother Francis Wallace and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Sunday from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.) and attend the funeral service on Tuesday October 20 at 11:00 am at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 3856 W. 10th St, Erie, PA 16505, with Rev. Robert Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
