Thomas Stepp

Thomas C. “Tud” Stepp, age 59 of Erie, died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born May 29, 1957 in Aliceville, AL, son of Stella Dancy Stepp and the late Thomas Lee Stepp.

Thomas attended Academy High School and was a former employee at Erie County Farms.

He was a past member of the Usher board at the House of Prayer.

He loved spending time with his family, and playing cards and dominoes. Thomas loved basketball, especially the San Antonio Spurs - they were his team.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Yvonne and Lee Roberts Sr. and Diane Worell, and his stepmother Rachel Arrington.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by five brothers: T.L. Stepp, James Stepp, David Earl Stepp, Michael Stepp and Darnell Stepp; two sisters: Lizzie Ann and Louis Watford and Toni Arrington; three stepbrothers: Willie Joe Arrington, Robert (Thelma) Arrington and Mike Arrington; two stepsisters: Joyce Arrington and AnnaRee (Nelson) Flowers of Collins, MS; two children: Antoun Dupree Salter and his two children, Kamarion David Salter and Alayah Nicole Salter and David Durrell Copeland and his seven children, Tyrique Brown, Da’Shawn Copeland, Aliseana Copeland, De’Asia Copeland, Daviona Copeland, David Copeland Jr., Aujuneya Copeland; and two of “Papa’s” children whom he raised, DaZahia Ricks and Amoni Vaughn. Also survived by four special nieces, Rasheemah Thompson, Nicole Pennamon, Lanisha and Victoria Chimenti, and his fiancée Eleanor Faye Vaughn, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the Word of Life Church, 660 Hess Ave. Erie on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service there at 1:00 pm with Bishop Dwane Brock officiating.
