Thomas Solvedt

Thomas C. Solvedt, age 87, of Fairview, passed away Thursday November 15, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Erie on October 31, 1931 the son of the late Semon E. and Mary V. Gray Solvedt.

Tom graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1950 and the IBEW Local Union #56 Apprentice School in 1954.  He was founder of Solvedt Enterprise in 1988.

He was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, where he served on many committees and was a trustee. He was a two term Fairview School Board member. Tom was a 32nd degree Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother’s second husband, John O. Bennett, a brother, Richard S. Solvedt, and a granddaughter Jennifer Solvedt.

Tom is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly A. Henning Solvedt; a daughter, Kimberly D. Faulkner and her husband Lee, of Erie; two sons, Thomas J. Solvedt of Fairview; Terrence J. Solvedt and his wife Stephanie, of West Des Moines, IA; a sister, Shirley I. Strand, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; he is further survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. Girard on Monday from 12noon until 1pm. Private burial at Fairview Cemetery.
