Thomas Snippert, Sr.

Thomas Michael Snippert, Sr., 65, of Erie, PA passed away peacefully on Monday November 7th, 2022 at home surrounded by a loving family. He was born in Erie on January 19, 1957, a son of the late John and Dolores Yosten Snippert.

Thomas graduated from Tech Memorial High School and retired from GE to spend more time with his family. He enjoyed coaching baseball and softball for 40 yrs. He loved reading comic books, playing his records, and collecting sports cards. Along with his wife, he enjoyed working in their garden and traveling. Including his beloved dogs; Betsy, Puff, Bell, and Izzy. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne Staszewski and brother, John Snippert Jr. and his angel grandbabies; Richard and Angel Hopkins. 

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly McClenahan Snippert and her three children, Erin Freeling, Robert (Jenna) Freeling and Sean Freeling and his son: Nolan Freeling, all of Erie. Thomas is further survived by his two daughters, Angela (fiancé Rick) Snippert and their 3 children: Rickie, Riley and Alyssa Hopkins, and Mary (significant other Jo Ann) Ebert Snippert and daughters: Ema and Felicity Ebert; and his three sons, Thomas (Christine) Snippert and their 3 children: Tia, Thomas, and Torin Snippert, Steven Snippert and Matthew (significant other Ashley) Snippert and children: Isabella and Lily Snippert, all of Erie. In addition, Thomas is survived by his siblings: Ronald Snippert and Donna, Judy Smith, Patty Lata, and David Snippert and Jeanette; and six godchildren including, Melissa Snippert and Geoff and family; and many more nieces and nephews, all of Erie.

Friends and family may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510, on Friday, November 11^th, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the time of service there at 12 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
