Thomas Kimberlin

Thomas J. Kimberlin, age 55, of Erie, passed away at his residence on September 5, 2016. He was born in Erie, PA on October 14, 1960, son of the late Dan W. and Elizabeth J. Kimberlin.

He graduated from Harborcreek High School in 1978 and worked at Dahlkemper’s, Burger King and General Electric before becoming disabled.

He is survived by three sisters, Sharon Ulrich and her husband William of Girard, PA, Danna Kimberlin of Erie, PA and Cynthia Larson and her husband Mark of Garner, IA and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank his many concerned doctors and caregivers who worked so hard to help Tom achieve a better life. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, generous nature and kind and loving ways. Additionally, family and friends who genuinely knew Tom realized how bravely and courageously he battled mental illness throughout much of his life.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue) on Sunday, September 11th, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Services and burial will be private.
