Thomas Golden

Thomas Golden age 78, of Erie, and formerly of Pittsfield, MA, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Erie on June 16, 1938, a son of the late Joseph T. and Elsa Chapin Golden.

Thomas graduated from McDowell High School and went on to receive his BS degree in Engineering from Gannon College.

He worked as an electrical engineer at General Electric for many years.

Thomas attended Holy Cross and Our Lady of Peace Church in the past. He enjoyed golfing and boating, and fishing and hunting with his dad. He also loved spending time with his dog Bailey, who was his best friend and passed away just a few weeks before Thomas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Golden, and a brother in law, Dan Nelligan.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey T. Golden and his wife Jodilyn of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren, Amber, Jakeb, and Aubrey Golden; a sister, Shirley Nelligan of Erie; a nephew, Michael Nelligan of Erie; a niece Kathy Nelligan of Hudson, OH; and three great nieces, Colleen, Erin, and Kelsey.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
