Thomas Conn, Jr.

Thomas J. “Buster” Conn, Jr., age 67 of Largo, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. He was born Erie on January 1, 1951, a son of the late Thomas J. and Barbara S. (Martinez) Conn.

Buster graduated in the Academy High School class of 1970 in Erie and moved to southern Florida more than twenty years ago. There, he was employed as a truck driver for various companies and was also licensed in Cosmetology. He met and married the love of his life “Bogie” and was completely devoted to her as a husband. He loved and protected his family, especially his sisters, and was a very spiritual man involved with his church, and also was a very proud member of the Seneca Nation of Indians Bear Clan. He loved animals and was the father of his three fur babies. He was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Buster was loved by all who met him, and was a teacher of life lessons to many. He will forever be missed by his loving family and friends.

Buster was preceded in death by his father, Thomas James Conn Sr., who he was named after, in 2001 and his mother, Barbara Stella (Martinez) Conn, in January 2017.

Survivors include his wife, Karen “Bogie” Boga, children, Thomas Elliott (Heather), Jacqueline Frost (Taylor), and grandchildren, Julieanna and Vivian. He is further survived by siblings, Barbara Thumm, Debra Yoculan, Walter Conn, and Mary Ann Hutchison (Jack.) Also surviving are his aunts, Mary Zingle and Marge Litz along with beloved nieces and nephews, Rebecca Pianta, Nicole Brown, Christopher Hutchison, Michael Thumm, Nicholas Hutchison, Danielle Hutchison, Brittany Thumm, Paul and Kerri Yoculan. He is also survived by many cousins who were all special to him.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road Erie, PA 16510 on Sunday, August 19th from 2 p.m., until the time of service at 6 p.m., in the Burton Wintergreen All Faiths Chapel.
