Therese Vieira

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister Teri Vieira.  Born July 17, 1956, to late Audrey and Jim Vieira, Teri was a graduate of St. Andrews grade school and St. Benedict’s Academy.  She began her various career journeys shortly after high school with General Telephone, Buffalo Molded Plastics, then for the former Erie Bearings.  Shortly afterwards she began her own company, Custom Industrial Parts, and Services.  After turning 65, she retired from St. Vincent Health Center after 20 years of employment.

Teri is survived by her Aunt Sister Ricarda Vincent, SSJ, her sister Cathy Songer, brothers Jimmy, and Joey (Beth) Vieira.  She is further survived by several nieces and nephews: Lanielle Phelps (Marty), Ashley Farina (Dan), Jamie Jageman (Pat), Kyle Songer, Isabelle (Grant), John, Beatrice, Tyler, Gabbi and Evan Vieira along with a number of great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her sister Joanne and brother-in-law Rick Urban.

Teri was a wandering soul, strong in spirit and mind.  She enjoyed everything with her family. Adored her friends, loved her dogs, a good party, and a strong drink.

The family would like to thank our cousin Dorinda Stinely for her care and compassion along with her neighbors, Paul and Barb, for watching over her. We also would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent Cardiac Intensive Care Unit for their excellent treatment and compassion shown to our sister in her final days.

All services are private. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
