Theresa A. “Terry” Wise Limburg, age 86, of Erie, passed away on Friday March 4, 2016 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on December 28, 1929, the youngest of eleven children of the late Michael and Anna Yeager Mowery along with Stepfather Samuel Cipolla.
Terry graduated from the Academy High School and went on to receive an associate degree in educational ministries from Unity Village in Joplin, MO. She was very involved with various ministries. She was a long time and former member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she sang in the choir many years. She was currently a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. Terry and her husband Richard both worked and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. She had a love for all humanity, especially the arts and music of which her children all inherited great talent.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nine sisters and one brother.
Terry is survived by her husband Richard K. Limburg; four children: Susan (John) Wise-Walzak of Buffalo, NY, Michael Wise of Fort Collins, CO, Jeff (Susan) Wise of Durango, CO, and Nancy Klemens-Wise of Silver Creek, NY; and four grandchildren: Lee Wise, Ryan Wise, Samuel Klemens, and Irene Klemens. She is further survived by multiple nieces and nephews; very dear friends, Mary Watson and Alex Zaycus, and Lucy her 11 year old collie whom she received from her granddaughter Irene and absolutely adored.
Friends may call with the family at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502, on Monday, March 21st from 2pm until the time of the memorial service beginning at 3pm with Rev. Charles Cammarata presiding. Memorials may be made to the Fairview Presbyterian Building Fund, 4264 Avonia Rd., Fairview, PA 16415.
