Theodore G. Halstead, Jr., age 73, of the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home in Erie and formerly of Chambersburg, PA, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. Born September 22, 1939, in, he was a son of the late Theodore G. and Laughn Curtis Halsead. Ted was a welder and did auto body work while enjoying fishing, playing his guitar and riding his motorcycle. He was a very spiritual man and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Chambersburg. He was also a member of the Conneautville American Legion Post.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Halstead in 1996 and his second wife, Chloe Halstead in 2009 and 1 brother and 1 sister. He is survived by 2 daughters: Christine A. Brewster and her husband Dennis of Girard and Lorraine L. Terrill of Erie; 3 grandchildren: Terranie Halstead, Darren Yeast and Gabrielle Terrill; a brother, Lowell Halstead of Springboro; and four sisters: Neva Kaputa and her husband Joe of Girard, Mary Lou Cline of Erie, Rosalie Halstead of Georgia and Eleanor Forinash of Springboro and one great grandson, Maddex.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 with funeral services to be held on Monday at 10:30am in Burton's All Faiths Chapel with Rev.
