Thelma Slater

Thelma M. Slater, age 78, of Erie, and formerly of Albion, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Golden Living Western Reserve.

Born in Erie, on October 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Walter and Leona Thompson Sargent.

Thelma loved to read her bible. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with her beloved dog, April.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Walter and Gloria; and a daughter, Carol Stevens.

Thelma is survived by her husband Jerry Slater; her children, Tina Breese, Donna Holley, Carl Stevens, Matt and Mike Lavoice, Richard Fred, and Paula; a brother, David E. Sargent, of Fredonia, NY . She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Gerald S. Salsbury Building, 4004 Pacific Ave, Erie, PA 16506 on Saturday at 2pm with Rev. David Busquet officiating.
