Terese Ann Nelsen

Terese Ann (Gardner) Nelsen, age 69, of Erie passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Manchester Commons. She was born February 26, 1955 in Erie’s Little Italy neighborhood, the daughter of the late Ronald and Emma (DelSandro) Gardner.

Terese was a 1973 graduate of Academy High school. She most recently moved back to Erie after spending 30 years living in the Sarasota / Bradenton area of Florida. There she owned and operated a boutique/gift shop for a number of years then later managed the gift shop at Cracker Barrel restaurant where she made many loyal friends, both at work and with her interaction with her customers.

Terese loved spending time with her family and friends along with her pets, she was generous to a fault.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Nelsen, Sr.

Terese leaves behind many close friends and relatives.

There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 130 E.4th St., Erie. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 E.10th St., Erie, PA 16511 or to the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209.
