Terence Elliott Ponder, Sr., age 43, of Walkersville MD and formerly of Erie died Monday, August 11, 2014.
Born in Erie on June 18, 1971 a son of Willie Larkin and the late Laverne Copeland Ponder.
Terence was a graduate of Tech-Memorial High School, Class of 1989 and completed his education at WRITCO Technical School. He worked as a Telecommunications Analyst. He was an avid Steelers and Yankee fan, but loved all sports, videogames and especially spending time with his family. Terence was fond of ending all communication with a quote from Anthony Brandt; “Other things may chance us, But we start and end with family.”
Survivors include his five children, Savonna Nicole Ponder, Breanne Elease Ponder-Drew,
Terence Elliott Ponder, Jr., Trevon Elliott Ponder and Samari James Ponder; his father, Willie L. Larkin; his siblings, William Earl Ponder, Jr (Mary), Steffanie Bush, Jeffrey S. Ponder, Dupree Simmons and Danielle Beason. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Abundant Life Ministries, 806 Parade St., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and are invited to attend services there on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Minister Ryan Gaines of Abundant Life Ministries International who will be officiating and Bishop Larry Copeland eulogizing.
Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
