Tara Leigh Biggie Jordan, age 38 of Erie, PA, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born November 8, 1977, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the daughter of Richard Scott Biggie and Melody K. Anderson Biggie.
Tara graduated from Central High School in 1996. She worked as a beautician and was co-owner of Sassy Styles. Tara also worked for the Barber National Institute as a caregiver for 2 years and at the Millcreek Mall Sears and J.C. Penny, where she was a long time employee.
Tara was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she was the Church Financial Secretary, Youth Usher Advisor and member of the Pastor Aid Club.
Tara loved watching The Food Network and bringing her creations to family gatherings. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Prince and Michael Jackson. She loved collecting anything with pictures of high heels or lips.
Along with her parents, she leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of twelve years, Otis L. Jordan, Jr.; her son, Jeffrey Biggie and daughter, Ayla Grace Jordan; two sisters, Sara and Katrina Biggie; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews cousins, friends and family.
Friends may call at The Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 East 23rd Street, Erie PA 16503, on Saturday, March 19thth from 11:00 am till 12:00 pm, and the funeral service will begin at 12 pm., with Pastor D.F. Hunter presiding. Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, 2601 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510.
