Sylvio Difabrizio

May 5, 1926 — March 6, 2018

Sylvio “Sal” DiFabrizio, age 91, of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Westlake Woods.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 5th, 1926, a son of the late Luigi and Jennie DiFabrizio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert DiFabrizio
Sal served in the Merchant Marines. Being only 17 year old, but anxious to serve during WW II, he assumed an older brother's identity and enlisted. He later re-enlisted in the Air Force.
He was self-employed and worked as a Long Haul Truck Driver. He logged over 1 million miles on the road in his lifetime. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed visiting other countries with companion, Anna. Sal accepted the Lord as his Savior and was a faithful and active member of the First Assembly of God, and served, among other activities and outreaches, as a counselor in its Fully Alive program, where he manned a crisis hotline and was able to help hundreds of people in need. He also devoted many years of service to The Upper Room. He had a passion for food and was always ready for a road trip to the latest new restaurant. He was a kind and gentle soul. We will miss our “Buckle”.
Sal is survived by his Companion of 35 years, Anna C. Salvia and two grandchildren, Colleen (Phil) Ginder and Christen (Dean) Eberly; and two great grandsons, Gavin and Nolan Ginder.
