Suzanne Gerhart

Suzanne "Sue," 77, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was in the company of her loving sister, daughter and grandchildren.

Born February 16, 1945 in Erie, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence (Larry) Waller and Josephine Maserek Waller.

Sue attended St. Andrew School and graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1963 and furthered her education taking night classes at Mercyhurst University.

Sue had a successful career beginning with Sylvania GTE, and then Osram Sylvania, where she became the first woman sales representative at the company to earn "man of the year" as well as the nickname "Sylvania Sue."

She had a wanderlust, loving to share memories about the places she visited and keeping an eye out for the next opportunity to travel.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Brown.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy Marshall of Charlotte, N.C. and Andrea MacDonald (Alex) of Lemoyne, Pa.; three sisters Louise Varich (George) of Royersford, Pa., Barbara Laskowski (Joe) of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Peggy Machuga (Andy) of Erie, Pa.; four grandchildren James, Samuel, Cameron, and Josie as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Quinn Funeral Home, 728 W. 9^th St. on Friday, June 24 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
