Susan Spadaccio

September 19, 1948 — November 26, 2020

Susan D. Spadaccio of Erie PA passed away quietly at her residence, Thursday November 26, 2020. She was  born on September 19, 1948 the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Smisko) Keith. She was raised in Cambridge Springs and attended General McLane High School.

 

Susan was a loving mother and devoted friend to her family and many friends she called family. She loved to cook, craft and work in her garden. She volunteered for Holy Family Parish School cafeteria while her grandchildren attended and was a member of the Catholic church until the end of her days.

 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald Keith and his wife Dora, sisters Lucy Burdick and Mary Szocki who is survived by her husband Richard. Also sister-in-law Barbara (Spadaccio) Martin.

 

Susan is survived by her daughter Christina Spadaccio of Erie, PA and two sons Nicholas Spadaccio Jr. of Erie, PA and David Spadaccio (Melissa) of Wagga Wagga Australia, two sisters Florance Troutner and JoAnn Callahan and one brother Bill Keith, several nieces and nephews. Heavy are the hearts of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Those who called her mom, sister, aunt, and gram were more often not blood related. She opened her heart and home for many years to anyone who needed it. Once she had you in her heart she loved you forever. She was the matriarch of an ever growing tribe. She was grateful to all who saw her through her final days.

 

Arrangements according to the family wishes are private and under the care of the Scott Funeral Home 2104 Myrtle Street, Erie.
