Susan Mischler Simonetti, age 64, of Erie, peacefully passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Erie on December 6, 1949, a daughter of the late H. Howard and Margaret Adler Mischler.
Sue graduated from Strong Vincent High School, class of 1967, and attended Mansfield State College and Edinboro State College. She worked at Security Peoples Bank, St. John’s Lutheran Church Pre-School, and also, most recently, Barbara’s Hallmark Store.
Sue was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She loved bowling and travel, and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
She loved spending time with her family, and was loved by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Angeline Mischler.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Ronald R. Simonetti; her son Anthony R. Simonetti and his wife Jessica Drusbacky of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter Laura S. Simonetti of Erie; her brother John H. Mischler of Liverpool, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2216 Peach Street with Reverend Roy Washill officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
