Susan Kay Schabacker, age 64, of Erie, passed away on November 4, 2012, at the Village at Luther Square.
She was born in Erie on October 15, 1948, the daughter of the late Kay Sprickman Schabacker and Darrow Schabacker of Garden Court.
She graduated from the Strong Vincent Class of 1966. She was a soloist in the Strong Vincent Choir.
She also was a graduate of the Ora White School of Voice, Carnegie School of Dance, Carnegie School of Drama, and the Mary Tarci School of Acting, all of New York City. She was a singer, entertainer, and a former airline stewardess. She was the female lead in "The Fantastics" in Myrtle Beach, New York, and locally. She was the Principal in "Mary, Mary" and a feature player in "See How They Run". She was a soloist in multiple local TV and Radio shows. She was employed by a number of casinos in Las Vegas. She also traveled extensively around the world with her parents in their travel business "Kay Schabacker Tours".
Survivors include two sisters, Mary E. Schabacker of Cranesville, and Margot J. Hindley of California, dear friends John and Kris Petulla of Erie, an aunt and several cousins.
Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held on Monday, November 12th, at 11:30 A.M. at the Community United Church, 1011 West 38th St., officiated by Rev. Richard Moyer.
Private burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
