Susan Riehl

Susan Riehl, age 88, of Erie, passed away on February 28, 2014. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Ralph R. “Bud” Riehl, Jr.

Susan is survived by her three children, Christine Riehl, Catherine McMillin and Ralph R. “Chip” Riehl, III and his wife Betsy: six grandchildren, Scott Simonsen and wife Amy of Erie, PA; Marty Simonsen and wife Kelly of Erie, PA; Kelly Conroy and husband Brandon of Cranberry Township, PA; Heather Riehl of Charlotte, NC; Catherine Sullivan and husband Patrick of Seattle, WA; and Ashley Simonsen of San Francisco, CA; seven great-grandchildren and nephew, Bruce VanCleve and his wife Katy and loving caregivers Chris Kerr, Cheryl Taylor and Sue Coleman and Katie and Susan from Great Lakes Hospice.

At her request, no calling hours will be observed. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. However, friends are invited to join her family at the Brew Ha Ha in the Colony Plaza on Sunday March 9 from 4 PM to 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Erie Community Foundation, 459 W. 6th Street, Erie, PA 16507 or Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach St., Erie, PA 16501.
