Sue Rycek

Sue Spencer Rycek age 56 of Erie, passed away at Millcreek Community Hospital on Monday November 27, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for several years. Sue was born in Erie on December 9, 1960 a daughter of the late Daniel and Betty J. Robinson Spencer.

Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was affectionately referred to as Nana by her adoring grandchildren. She loved playing cards with family and friends, and in the last few years spent very enjoyable time with her friends at the CYS Club on 38^th St.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Daniel Spencer and her sisters Martha Lytle and Linda Ion.

In addition to her husband Ronald of 31 years, she is survived by a daughter Tiffaney Rycek (Tony Ramey) and son Ronald J. Rycek III (Destiny Blessing) along with her three adoring grandsons Alexzander and Zackary Ramey and Carter Rycek. Survivors also include her sisters Mary Mejia, Norma Spencer and Judy Teribery, and brothers Cecil Spencer (Sue), Larry Spencer, and Lester Spencer (Chris Fabin). Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will also miss her.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA 16510 on Thursday from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm and Friday from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family C/O Burton Funeral Home.
